THE MYTH THROUGH THE HERO'S EYES
For the book by Fernando Carneiro (Editora Person), these illustrations seek to convey the melancholy and grandeur of Homeric legends.
The use of gouache and ecoline in a grayscale palette allowed for a play of light and shadow reminiscent of classical sculpture, while preserving the fluid energy of contemporary linework.
Originally conceived for the pages of the book, the project took on a life of its own in A3 format and was exhibited at the Valu Oria Gallery in São Paulo, Brazil.
